I have been a member of St. James since 1966. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kansas Newman University in 1995 and been teaching ever since at St. James. I love teaching! I have a great family. Cowboy John Hoefgen who has worked at Parks Motors for over 30 years. My daughter Jenny & her husband Richard attend St. James and live here in Augusta. They have blessed us with our granddaughter, Jordan. Jordan is a former St. James student and attends Butler County Community College. Our grandson Jacob attends AMS and is a former St. James student as well. Our son Nick lives in Wichita, but he drives his daughter, Haylee, here to go to school. Nick and Amber also have Miles, who will go to preschool next year. I’m looking forward to another awesome year here at St. James!
DISCIPLINE
Our environment is structured in such a way that we have few behavioral problems. If they do arise, we handle gently and firmly on a case-by-case basis, generally talking with, and/or time out if needed. Positive awards are given. Verbal praise and group awards are emphasized. We earn free recess time by compliments given.

All of our curriculum is age appropriate. We do provide enrichment and differentiated instruction.
RELIGION / MASS
We attend Mass every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Our buddies from the 5th grade help us during Mass, Fields Trips, and other activities.
